Alice Solar City General Manager Brian Elmer said, “Alice Springs Residents are lucky, as they can literally take two bites of the financial cherry by accessing both a Green Loan and the generous Alice Solar City financial incentives.”
Since the Green Loans program was launched Australia-wide in July 2009, more than 205,000 household assessments have been booked to date and over 140,000 assessments already completed.
The Green Loans program aims to carry out 360,000 home assessments nationwide, so Mr Elmer encourages Alice Springs residents to get in quick so they don’t miss out.
“There are no Green Loan assessors based in Alice Springs, but Alice Solar City has worked with an Adelaide based assessor who will be visiting in February.”
“Even if you are only just thinking about going ahead with significant energy saving measures in the future, such as rooftop solar, I would advise booking in an audit this month. This way you can plan your activities knowing that you will be able to take advantage of a Green Loan in the future.”
