Turn off the extra fridge

If you have an old fridge that has been replaced and moved out to the laundry, shed or verandah for storing excess items, chances are it's using a lot more energy than new models. If the fridge is outside or in a hot location it will be working even harder to keep cool and could be costing you over $200 per year.

Consider if you really need the fridge or could you get away without it and use eskies and ice for social gatherings, or only switch the second fridge on when it is really needed.
